Who can become a Bird partner?
Bird runs three partner tracks: agencies (including freelancers and consultants building on Shopify), technology and integration partners connecting their product to Bird, and last-mile delivery partners connecting their courier network. You pick your track on the application form.
Can I test Bird before recommending it to a client?
Yes. Every Bird plan is available on Shopify development stores, so you can build and test against the full feature set before a client pays anything.
Do technology partners get API access?
Yes. Technology partners get REST API access along with documentation and code samples so your team can build an integration against Bird directly.
Can a delivery company partner with Bird?
Yes. Last-mile delivery partners integrate their platform with Bird so merchants can dispatch orders to a courier network they already use. Bird provides API integration support, onboarding, and joint launch campaigns. Bird is expanding this side of the ecosystem with new logistics partners.
Will my integration be listed publicly?
Yes. Completed integrations are listed in the Bird integrations directory at birdchime.com/integrations, where merchants browse the apps Bird already connects with.
What support do agency partners get?
Agency partners get priority support with faster response times on client projects, plus direct access to the Bird product team for complex implementations rather than a standard ticket queue.
What happens after I apply?
A person reads every application and replies by email. If it is a fit, we introduce the program, answer your questions, and set you up with development store access and documentation. From there you build, and we work with you on case studies and joint marketing when you have something to show. Including your website and answering the scale question on the form helps us review faster.
Do my clients need a paid Bird plan?
Yes. Partners build and test for free on Shopify development stores, where every Bird plan is available, but a live merchant store needs its own plan. Every plan starts with 14 days free, so a client can trial Bird before committing. See birdchime.com/pricing for current plans.
Does Bird set up or manage stores for merchants?
No. Bird is a Shopify app, not an agency. Merchants install and configure Bird themselves, or work with an agency partner who does it for them. That is exactly the gap the agency partner track exists to fill.
