What are order exports and production reports in Bird?
In Bird Pickup & Delivery, the Shopify app by BirdChime, you can export scheduled orders from the Orders page as a CSV, emailed within a few minutes. The order details report lists each order with its date, time, location and customer. The production report totals product quantities, for planning what to make.

Which reports can I export?
Two CSVs, for two jobs: one for the orders, one for the kitchen or workroom.
- Order details report
One row per order: number, total, items, payment and fulfillment status, method, date, time, day, location, and the customer's name, email and phone.
The order details report also carries the collector's name and email on pickup orders.
- Production report
Product, variant, SKU, quantity and item properties, added up across the orders you select.
- No customer data
The production report leaves out order numbers, customer information and delivery addresses.
How do I pick which orders go in?
Filter the Orders page, select the orders, then choose Export.
- Date
Filter on the scheduled date or the date the order was placed. Presets include Today, Tomorrow and Last 30 days, or set a custom range.
Add filters for pickup, delivery or shipping, for one or more locations, and for order status.

Tick single orders, or select every order in the filtered list.
- Send
Choose Export order details or Export production report and enter one or more recipient emails.
Can reports arrive automatically?
Yes. Automated reports email themselves on a schedule.

Bird gives you a few more routes, depending on who needs the list.
With Order Tagging on, filter Shopify's order list by date or method tag and use Shopify's own export, with its full set of order columns.

How do I export orders or set up automated reports?
Filter the Orders page in Bird, select the orders and choose Export. For scheduled reports, open Bird Settings, then Automated reports. The guides cover each report's columns.

What else do merchants ask about exports and reports?
How do I export today's or tomorrow's orders from Shopify?
On Bird's Orders page, set the date filter to Today or Tomorrow on the scheduled date, select the orders and choose Export order details. The CSV arrives by email within a few minutes.
What's in a production report?
Product name, variant, SKU, quantity, item properties, and product and variant IDs. It doesn't include order numbers, customer details or addresses.
Can I get a report of only pickup orders?
Yes. Add a Delivery method filter before you export. Automated reports can also be limited to store pickup, local delivery or shipping.
Can reports be emailed to my team every morning?
Yes, with automated reports on Scale. Pick the days, a time in UTC, the methods and the report type, and add several email addresses.
Can I export by the date orders were placed instead?
Yes. In the date filter, set Filter on to Created date instead of Selected date. Selected date is the day the order is due.
Which time zone do automated reports use?
UTC. Convert your local time to UTC when you set the schedule.
Can I export orders older than 60 days?
Bird keeps 60 days of order data by default, on any plan. On Scale you can keep 90, 180 or 365 days.
I didn't get the report email. What now?
Reports usually arrive within a few minutes. Check your spam folder and the recipient address you entered.
