How many languages does Bird support?
Bird supports 90+ languages including English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Arabic, Hebrew, Korean, Russian, and many more—essentially all languages supported by Shopify.
How does language detection work?
Bird automatically detects the customer's language based on their Shopify locale setting. The widget, calendar labels, delivery method names, and all customer-facing text display in their preferred language.
Can I customize the text for each language?
Yes. Go to Bird Settings > Text & Languages to edit all widget text in any language. You can customize calendar labels, delivery method names, instructions, error messages, and checkout text. HTML formatting is supported for rich content.
Do email notifications support multiple languages?
Yes. Customer notification emails are sent in the customer's preferred language. You can customize email templates for each language in Bird Settings > Notifications.
