How does Loop work with Bird?
Bird's Loop integration keeps subscription deliveries on schedule. Your customer picks a delivery date at checkout, and every renewal order Loop creates after that gets its delivery date moved forward automatically. Bird writes the new date to the Loop subscription and logs each change, so prepaid plans still deliver on time.
- 1

Renewals move forward
Each renewal order's delivery date moves forward on its own.
| First order | Keeps the date picked at checkout |
|---|---|
| Renewal orders | Delivery date moved forward automatically |
| Prepaid plans | Move by how often they deliver, not how often they bill |
| What you need from Loop | Loop's Pro plan |
| Subscription checkout | Needs carrier-calculated shipping (Advanced, Plus, or Grow with the add-on) |
It works with Bird's date and time picker and delivery rates. Read the Loop setup guide
What can you do with Loop and Bird?
No manual date changes
Every renewal order Loop creates gets its delivery date moved for you.
Prepaid plans done right
A customer who prepays three months of weekly boxes still gets a new date one week later each time.
Customers hear about it
Turn on an email that tells customers their new delivery date, in your own words.
Every change on record
Subscription logs show each order, what changed and when, starting with the first renewal.
Prefer Shopify Flow?
Bird's Shopify Flow step can move Loop dates too. Use one method, or a date can move twice.
Stop any time
Click Disconnect Loop and Bird stops moving delivery dates.
How do shops use Loop with Bird?
It works for any kind of shop. Here are a few ways merchants use it.
Which other subscription apps work with Bird?
Bird puts the delivery date on recurring orders from these apps.
What do merchants ask about Loop?
What do I need from Loop to connect?
Loop's Pro plan, since other Loop plans can't create the key Bird needs. The key must be able to read and change subscriptions and orders.
Does the first order keep the date my customer picked?
Yes. Only renewal orders get their date moved. The first checkout order keeps its date.
How does Bird handle prepaid Loop subscriptions?
It moves the date by how often the subscription delivers, not how often it bills. Three months prepaid with weekly deliveries moves one week each time.
Will my customers know the new date?
Yes, if you turn on the email for subscription date changes. You can edit what it says.
How do I check what changed?
Subscription logs list every date change with the order number, what changed and when. Logs start with the first renewal.
Why won't Bird accept my Loop key?
Check you copied the whole key and that it can change subscriptions and orders, not just read them. Or create a new key and try again.
Can I use Shopify Flow and the direct connection together?
No. If a Flow workflow already moves your Loop dates, turn it off after connecting, or a renewal's date can move twice.
Why do customers see Shipping not available with subscriptions in the cart?
Shopify only accepts the cheapest rate on subscription orders. Switch Bird's rates engine to its carrier-calculated shipping mode, and remove manual rates from your Shopify shipping settings.
Do renewals keep the same time slot and method?
Yes. Renewal orders keep the time slot and the pickup or delivery method from the first subscription order.
How much does it cost to use Loop with Bird?
Loop bills you for its app. Bird has a 14-day free trial, and the pricing page shows what each plan includes.
